Connect a PLOSSYS 5 System¶

To connect a PLOSSYS 5 system as backend system, in SEAL Operator, activate the connector and specify the keys for the connection:

Open a Command Prompt or PowerShell.
Export the complete configuration of SEAL Operator from Consul to a YAML file with the following command. So you're making sure the current configuration settings are being used.

operator config export <filename>.yml --insecure
```
Edit the exported file <filename>.yml.

In the section of the PLOSSYS 5 (p5) connector, set cstatus to on. The Fileupload (scratch) connector has to be activated as well.

Caution - do not turn off

Do not deactivate the Fileupload (scratch) connector. The PLOSSYS 5 (p5) connector will not work otherwise!

In the env section, specify the following keys for the operator-p5 service:
- ACTION_EXECUTOR: Backend system, here P5
- PLOSSYS_IPP_URL: URL of the check-in service of the PLOSSYS 5 system

PLOSSYS 5 - IPP settings

The PLOSSYS 5 service seal-ipp-checkin supports both IPP and IPPS. By default, the service listens to the port 631 and uses IPP. When IPPS is used, the responding service key SERVICE_URL has been set. For more information, refer to Change IPP Setting to IPPS in the PLOSSYS 5 documentation.
Save the <filename>.yml file.

Re-import it to Consul.
